Many people are feeling anxious or worried during the COVID-19 outbreak. These feelings combined with physical distancing measures can easily impact our mental health. It is more important than ever before to recognize the signs of stress and seek help if you or a loved one is in need.

To support the Paso Robles community, Library and Recreation staff has developed “Be Well Paso” to support the Paso Robles community. Be Well Paso is designed to be a resource for self-care tools to sustain your mental health and well-being. You will find resources for all ages (from toddlers to Seniors) intended to keep you active, healthy, and stress-free. Weekly and daily challenges provide:

  • Fun physical activities that anyone can do from the comfort of home
  • Information on creating or maintaining social connections
  • Educational resources
  • And, of course, mental health resources

Be Well Paso helps connect you to local mental health and wellness organizations in our community:

  • Local therapists are available for virtual counseling sessions
  • Nearly all insurance companies are covering costs of these virtual sessions

Be Well Paso is available at prcity.com. You can find free therapy through SLO Behavioral Health. SLO Behavioral health provides free therapy services to help you cope during COVID-19. To get tips on coping with increased stress and mental health symptoms, call the SLO Hotline 24/7 at (800) 783-0607. To learn more about County Behavioral Health services visit: www.slobehavioralhealth.org or call (800) 838-1381.

Until we blog again, remember to stay informed, stay involved, stay strong and be well Paso Robles.
