Mayor Steve Martin

Veterans Day is a federal holiday born from Armistice Day, which celebrated the anniversary of the end of World War I. In 1954, Armistice Day became Veterans Day and celebrates all U.S. military veterans. Today, fresh from recent elections, we can reflect again the service and sacrifices of these millions of Americans. We can remember that, beyond all political differences, we are all Americans and should all be dedicated to the preservation and progress of our nation. We can re-dedicate ourselves to be a shining example to the world of a free people governing themselves.

As Mayor of the City of Paso Robles I salute all of our military veterans and offer my personal thanks for their service. I urge everyone to do the same.

Until next we blog, stay informed, stay involved and stay strong Paso Robles.
